Bad collision behavior with another object

I'm developing a kind of air hockey game where the player can only move on the x axis.
whenever i used the arrow keys to move the player on the PC version, the collision with the balls was perfect and accurate, however, while using TouchScript to make the game for mobile devices, I'm experiencing weird and not accurate collisions, where if i move my finger a little fast, the ball is getting kind of swallowed by the player and the shot goes quite random.
I wonder what can fix this, i tried to make the RigidBody2D collision detection on "Continuous" mode but this problem wasn't solved.
