control existing camera rig

Postby teadaddy » Fri Jul 21, 2017 12:47 am

Hello-
I have a camera setup that includes a camera that is parented to another game object that serves as a target or focal point. The current script uses WASD, arrows or mouse(LMB to rotate around the target object, RMB to move forward) to control the camera, for an effect like flying around with, no player visible.
My question is - what is the best method to convert those functions to touchScript? Am I wasting time by trying to reuse my current camera controls and should just scrap that and restart using only the touchScript?
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice!

Hard to say. Have you checked Camera example from the package?
Why do you need TouchScript in such setup at all?

I have looked at the camera example, and it is very instructive.
I am looking into TouchScript because my client suddenly wants to implement this on a large touch screen. I don't have the screen to test on yet and the touch screens I have access to currently are not optimal, so I want to cover as many bases as I can before going to test.
The main reason I want to use TS is for pinch/zoom (currently scroll zoom) and two finger rotate gestures, as well as better control.
Thanks for the response.

But has the Camera example answered your questions?
What you are asking is kinda too abstract o.O
